Clarksburg Kicks off Summer

Downtown Clarksburg will come alive on Friday, June 5, 2026 as First Fridays returns with an evening packed with live music, local food, family activities, shopping, art, and history.

The free community event will feature activities throughout downtown, giving residents and visitors plenty of reasons to spend the evening exploring Clarksburg's historic district.

Cool Off at the Spray Zone

One of the evening's highlights will be the Splash Zone in Lower Jackson Square, hosted by the Clarksburg Fire Department. Families are invited to cool off and enjoy an evening of outdoor fun while taking advantage of everything downtown has to offer.

Food Trucks and Local Dining

Visitors can grab a bite to eat from several food vendors throughout the evening.

Food trucks in Lower Jackson Square will include:

- Slice & Slush
- Delish-Us
- Cosmo's Kitchen
- Blessed & Grounded

Guests can also enjoy dining at Kelly's 2.0, while Maya's on Main will be serving food and beverages from Washington Square Restaurant.

Free Live Music

Music will fill downtown throughout the evening with performances by:

- Electric Blue
- American Idol contestant Livy Spino
- Nat Frederick

The live entertainment adds to the festive atmosphere and provides something for visitors of all ages to enjoy.

Explore Art, History, and Local Attractions

Several downtown organizations will be opening their doors for extended hours and special programming.

The Clarksburg History Museum and Clarksburg Area Model Railroad Club will be open from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Historic Waldomore will host a calligraphy workshop, giving visitors an opportunity to learn a traditional art form in one of Clarksburg's most historic buildings.

The Art Gallery at James & Law will be open from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will feature work from local artists.

Looking Glass Consignment will also be open late until 8:00 p.m. for shoppers looking to browse unique finds.

Tour the Historic Stealey Goff Vance House

The Harrison County Historical Society will open the historic Stealey Goff Vance House for a special public open house.

Visitors will have a rare opportunity to tour the property, learn about recent building assessments, and discuss future possibilities for one of Clarksburg's most recognizable historic landmarks.

Red, White, and Brew Debuts Downtown

A new addition to the evening is Red, White, and Brew, a craft beer and wine festival presented by the City of Clarksburg in Upper Jackson Square.
